Biography of the Visionary

Bishop Shawn L. Stephens, an anointed preacher, praise and worship leader, musician, choir director, songwriter and playwright, has been involved in ministry for more than eighteen years.  He is currently the Senior Pastor of ROK(Restoration Outreach Kingdom) Church International, located in Ashburn, VA.

Answering God’s call on his life, Bishop Stephens was privileged to serve in various music ministries throughout the United States before making the transition into pastoring. In addition to his pastoral ministry, which is his principle calling, Bishop Stephens’ list of accomplishments are as follow:

• Founder, S.L. Stephens Music Ministries
• Founder of Tri-Christ Productions, a production company that produces Gospel Concerts and Theatrical Productions
• Founding member of Brothers in Christ, a Christian mentoring program for young men
• State Pastor of Music for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship of Missouri and Southern Illinois under the presiding bishop, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr.
• Assistant Pastor of Music for the Central Region of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International Inc.
• Accompanist for many nationally known gospel recording artist and preachers including Dr. Marvin Sapp, Apostle Daryl Coley, Evangelist Beverly Crawford, Vickie Winans and Elder Deborah Morton
• Clinician at numerous workshops and seminars throughout the country

Bishop Stephens graduated from George Washington High School in Danville, Virginia and attended Elon College University (Elon College, North Carolina) and the Danville Community College (Danville, Virginia), where he earned his Associates of Arts and Science in Business Administration. Bishop Stephens has also received several Continuing Education Certificates from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. 

Bishop Stephens is the son of Lois Stephens and is happily married to the former Yolanda M. Brown. They are blessed with two children, Tiffany and Alvin.
